How to use BoardFlow
From install to a full view of your team's work in a couple of minutes.
1. Install
Install BoardFlow from the monday.com apps marketplace and approve the permissions it asks for. It needs to read your boards to find your work, and to write only when you use quick-add.
2. Add it to a dashboard
- Open a dashboard in monday.com, or create a new one.
- Click Add widget and choose Apps.
- Pick BoardFlow. It can be resized like any other widget.
3. Choose the groups to track
The first time BoardFlow opens, it lists the group names used across your workspace, with how many boards carry each one. Pick the groups that hold the work you want to see, for example "Ad-Hoc" or "Super Contributions". Each one becomes a tab.
This choice applies to your whole account. To change it later, right-click a tab and choose Change categories….
4. Work with the view
- Table: every open item from every matching group, with its board (client), status, owner and due date. Click an item to open it in monday.
- Filters: narrow by status, owner, client or due date.
- Overview: overdue, due soon, unassigned and inactive work at a glance.
- Ask AI: type a question such as "work with nobody on it" or click one of the suggestions. BoardFlow sets the filters for you and tells you if part of the question couldn't be matched.
- AI briefing: click Summarise my team for a short written summary of the items in view. It runs only when you click it.
- Quick-add: add an item to any client board, even one that doesn't have the group yet. BoardFlow creates the group for you.
Good to know
- The AI features use your account's monday AI credits. If none are available, BoardFlow shows a message and the briefing falls back to plain counts. Everything else works as normal.
- Archived boards are not included, so finished clients drop out automatically.
- The free plan covers workspaces with up to 50 boards. Above that, BoardFlow shows how many boards you have and offers a plan that fits.
